SPRINKLED COOKIE by Janice

February fun

What a month…

If there was a Girl Scout troop that needed a fun activity, a fun Valentine’s Day party, a Galentine’s event, or an exciting pop-up to be had, Sprinkled Cookie was there! My heart is filled with tremendous gratitude to all those that went out of their way to choose me, the cookier at Sprinkled Cookie, to be a part of their special occasion.

Customizing sugar cookies for others’ personal events is so very special. Each time I design a set, I imagine the community that will be gathering around to grab one of my cookies, and sincerely hope that it puts a smile on their face. That’s a lot of pressure I put on myself, huh?! The process of decorating each cookie requires lots of time, thought, and care. And quite honestly, part of my reward is the therapy that comes along with the tedious process. I’m able to let go of any worries or troubles that bog my mind down and simply concentrate on my icing laying perfectly smooth, bubble-free, and precisely the way I envisioned it. As therapeutic and satisfying decorating cookies in my kitchen may be, I’ve come to realize that I absolutely also love taking part in classes and public/private events.

Walking into an empty space and brightening it up with all of the Sprinkled Cookie goodies is quite a thrill! I get to create a space that invites creativity, fun, and such uplifting conversations. Everyone at my tables gather ideas from each other, with either free-flowing discussions or they work in spurts of comfortable silence as they concentrate on those lines. Therapy, undoubtedly, making its way to the table. Of course, making my eyes, ears, and heart dance like no one’s watching.

If you haven’t experienced a class, or visited me at a pop-up… please find a way to do so. You won’t regret it and my heart will be so happy to have connected with you.

See you at my tables in March!

xo,

Janice
