If there’s one thing I’ve learned after raising three kids and spending more than 20 years in the classroom, it’s this:
People may forget the details of a party, but they remember how you made them feel.
I’ve always loved creating experiences.
As a mom of three, I wasn’t the mom who simply ordered a cake, put out some balloons, and called it a day. I loved finding those unexpected little touches that made a celebration feel completely different from the last one.
Over the years, our parties have included puppies, monster bounce houses, crafts, ponies, train rides, and goodie bags that were practically overflowing. We’ve hosted kid sleepovers in play gyms and searched for unique local businesses that could bring something special to the celebration.
And honestly? I loved every minute of it.
I loved the planning. I loved discovering small businesses. I loved finding vendors that offered something guests hadn’t experienced before.
Most of all, I loved watching kids, and adults light up when they realized they were about to do something FUN.
Little did I know that all those years of party planning were actually preparing me for what would eventually become my business.
I’ve Always Been an Experience Hunter
There is something magical about a party when you walk in and immediately know, This is going to be fun.
Maybe there’s a pony in the backyard.
Maybe puppies are running around.
Maybe there’s a giant monster bounce house.
Maybe everyone is sitting at a craft table making something they get to take home.
Or maybe there’s a train ride waiting around the corner.
Those are the moments people talk about later.
They aren’t necessarily talking about the color of the napkins or whether every decoration matched perfectly.
They’re saying:
“Remember when we had puppies at the party?”
“Remember that giant bounce house?”
“Remember when we made those crafts?”
“Remember that crazy goodie bag?”
Those experiences become part of a family’s story.
And that has always been my favorite part of celebrating.
My Classroom Taught Me Something, Too
Before Sprinkled Cookie, I spent more than two decades teaching in the classroom.
If you’ve ever spent time around children, you know that keeping a group of kids engaged is an art form.
You can have the most perfectly planned lesson in the world, but if the kids aren’t interested, you’ve lost them.
Teaching taught me how to create an environment where people want to participate.
It taught me that hands-on activities are powerful.
It taught me how to explain something in a way that makes people feel successful.
And it taught me that sometimes the best memories happen when people are given the opportunity to create something themselves.
That philosophy followed me long after I left the classroom.
I realized I didn’t want to stop creating experiences just because I wasn’t standing in front of a classroom anymore.
I wanted to take everything I had learned as a teacher, a mom, and a lifelong party planner and turn it into something people could enjoy outside the classroom.
And that’s where cookies came in.
Enter: The Cookie Decorating Cart
To no surprise, I didn’t just want to make cookies.
I wanted to create an experience around the cookies.
That’s how my mobile cookie decorating cart came to life.
I wanted to bring the creativity, interaction, and excitement of a cookie decorating class directly to people’s events.
Instead of guests simply eating dessert, they get to make dessert part of the party.
They choose their colors.
They decorate.
They get creative.
They laugh.
They compare cookies.
They help each other.
And sometimes they surprise themselves with what they create.
The best part?
They get to take their creations home.
It’s part activity, part entertainment, part dessert—and a whole lot of fun.
Why I Love Working With Local Businesses
One of my favorite things about creating memorable parties has always been discovering unique local businesses.
There are so many incredibly talented entrepreneurs who create experiences that you simply can’t find at a big-box store.
A talented craft instructor.
A mobile petting zoo.
A pony provider.
A specialty entertainer.
A creative baker.
A local artist.
A unique food vendor.
These are the businesses that can take a regular gathering and turn it into something people talk about for years.
That’s why I love incorporating local businesses and creative vendors whenever possible.
And it’s also why I love being part of the local event community now.
When someone hires Sprinkled Cookie, they’re not just hiring someone to provide cookies.
They’re bringing in a small business that specializes in creating an interactive experience.
And I think that’s an important distinction.
Your Guests Don’t Need More Stuff. They Need Something to Do.
We’re surrounded by things.
More decorations.
More favors.
More stuff.
But when I’m planning an experience, I always come back to one question:
“What will people actually remember?”
A table covered in beautiful decorations might look amazing.
But give your guests something to do and suddenly the room comes alive.
That’s why I love interactive experiences.
People aren’t just watching something happen.
They’re participating.
They’re creating.
They’re laughing.
They’re connecting.
And that’s especially meaningful when you’re celebrating a milestone.
A birthday.
A baby shower.
A bridal shower.
A corporate event.
A school celebration.
A holiday gathering.
A family reunion.
A girls’ night.
A team-building event.
Whatever the occasion, the goal is the same:
Create a memory.
From Mom of Three to Mom of the Cookie Cart
Looking back, it makes perfect sense that I ended up here.
My years as a mom taught me how to celebrate.
My years as a teacher taught me how to engage people.
My love of small businesses taught me the value of unique experiences.
And my love of cookies gave me the perfect creative outlet to bring all of those things together.
Sprinkled Cookie is really the combination of all those chapters of my life.
It’s creativity.
It’s connection.
It’s teaching.
It’s celebrating.
And, of course, it’s cookies.
But the cookies are just the beginning.
The Party Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect
I’ve also learned something else after all these years:
The best parties aren’t necessarily the most perfect ones.
They’re the ones where people are laughing.
They’re the ones where kids are running around having the time of their lives.
They’re the ones where adults forget to check their phones.
They’re the ones where someone says, “I’ve never done this before!”
They’re the ones where everyone leaves with a story.
That’s what I want Sprinkled Cookie to bring to your event.
Not perfection.
Fun.
Not another dessert sitting on a table.
An experience.
Not something your guests simply look at.
Something they get to be part of.
Bringing the Experience to You
That’s the beauty of a mobile cookie decorating cart.
You don’t have to find a venue.
You don’t have to organize a separate activity.
You don’t have to figure out how to keep guests entertained.
I bring the cookie decorating experience directly to you.
Whether you’re planning a child’s birthday party, a baby shower, bridal shower, school event, corporate activation, holiday celebration, or just an excuse to gather your favorite people, the Sprinkled Cookie cart adds something guests can actually participate in.
And because I spent more than 20 years teaching, I know how to make decorating approachable and fun… even for the person who insists, “I’m not creative!”
Trust me.
I’ve heard that one before.
Let’s Make Some Memories
After years of planning parties for my own family, teaching children, discovering amazing local businesses, and creating celebrations filled with unexpected surprises, I realized something:
I don’t just love cookies. I love creating moments.
The kind of moments that make people smile.
The kind that get everyone involved.
The kind that turn into stories you tell years later.
That’s what Sprinkled Cookie is all about.
So yes, I offer custom cookies.
Yes, I teach cookie decorating.
And yes, I bring the mobile cookie decorating cart to events throughout Los Angeles.
But what I’m really bringing is an experience.
Because after raising three kids and spending more than two decades in the classroom, I’ve learned a thing or two about keeping people entertained.
And if there’s a cookie involved?
Even better.
Let’s make something sweet—and make some memories while we’re at it.
